Gym Buddy

Gym Buddy is a free mobile app where you create a profile and meet workout partners in your area. Create a profile, write a mini biography about your fitness journey, enter your gender, level of fitness, gym membership, fitness goals (gain muscle, lose weight, tone up, etc), and connect with people in your area with similar interests. Users can enter a time and location that they plan on working out and other users within their vicinity can search for others to workout. Gym Buddy also logs the workouts the user did each time they check in. The app itself works as your Gym Buddy as it has several workouts/exercises, recipes and a workout plan for men and women. Soon, I will also be adding a tab for fitness tips as well as messaging and a search function.

I was inspired to create the Gym Buddy App because like many, I too was afraid to go to the gym alone. Because I did not have someone to join me, I just wouldn't go. It wasn't until I found friends to frequently join me that I actually got a membership. Prior to, I was underweight. Today, I am at my ideal weight and comfort level of fitness. I believe that many more people would exercise if they had a personal gym buddy to join them. From amateurs to the most experienced "gym rats," having a Gym Buddy can encourage you to reach your fitness goals.
