Union Bank Mobile Banking

The Union Bank Universal Mobile Banking app enables consumer banking customers to do their banking anywhere, with an iOS solution that delivers an engaging, consistent experience across a variety of functions. The app delivers a rich set of capabilities to enable consumers to:
-Look up local information for Union Bank offices, as well as arrange a call from the bank about specific questions or concerns by simply entering phone contact information
-Handle all types of transactions such as deposits, transfers (including scheduling transfers), bill-paying and sending money to friends and family
-Research account activity by looking up account transactions (including by keyword), viewing check images, and checking balances across multiple accounts
-Keep accounts secure by reporting lost or stolen cards (and requesting replacements) and receiving fraud alerts of suspicious account activity
-Demo mode viewer for non Union Bank customers to view and interact with application features and seamless user experience without the need for a login

The main objective of the app was to provide a foundation on which to consolidate and extend the mobile banking experience to other devices and capabilities leveraging one universal code. Additionally, Union Bank wanted a way for non-customers to be able to demo the app on their own without the need for a user log-in. Union Bank did not want to alienate potential customers from exploring their banking application.

The Mobile Banking app sets Union Bank apart by appealing to consumers with a well-designed interface that’s both inviting and intuitive. It applies that same interface across functions for a seamless banking experience. As the solution is extended to other devices and more capabilities are added over time, the consistent user interface will apply across those environments as well. The primary audience is Union Bank’s customers wanting to check their account information and perform online banking transactions with the ease of their phone. The secondary audience are non-customers or potential customers interested in Union Bank and wanting to explore Union Bank’s offerings including their slick, convenient, and intuitive mobile experience.
