Cup O' Sugar: Share & Request

This app has been designed and created to reduce food waste one connection at a time. This is accomplished through state-of-the-art technology enabling users to connect with other nearby users in their neighborhoods to share food surpluses and/or request food needs. The ideology of "borrowing a cup of sugar" from a neighbor is not new. However, even in this virtually connected world people lack real connection with one another. We developed this app with multiple angles in mind. Reduce the amount of food waste that happens and bring people together.

Our uniquely designed interface allows users to share and/or request food items in a time efficient way so that they aren't troubled by the process and can save their precious time for meaningful interactions.

Some Key Features are:
*Built-in UPC scanner for quick upload of food items to share
*Extensive search features to find exactly what you are looking for
*1 to 1 chat feature
*Personalized Push Notifications by dietary preferences
*Multiple address inputs to list items that may not be at home but at work, school or co-working space (Geo-Fencing)
*Trust seals and user rate-ability for safety and protection
