We’re making shopping fun!

“Imagine a future where shopping was ‘spatial’? Where you could place a virtual item in your home to ‘try before you buy’? That future is already here…….”

In spring 2018, we designed a free, pioneering, Augmented Reality (AR) App that has transformed the way we shop, enabled global brands and retailers to sell more, and enriched the customer ‘experience’.

So, how does it work?

It’s simple! Shoppers can view products in their own home prior to purchase: for example, a television or sofa, in AR, appearing in-front of them as if by magic. Shoppers can download the App and access thousands of products across 18 product categories; hundreds more are added monthly. Selecting a product by room or category, consumers can ‘place’ the item and walk around it! They can even share their picks with the world via WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #pointandplace to win some amazing prizes.

Innovation never sleeps…….

Point and Place is coded in ARkit from Apple and ARCore from Google ensuring universal compatibility; implementing this technology into the retailer’s website has been made simple, with new products and updates, automatic.
The App operates seamlessly across online, in-store and print shopping channels. Shoppers download Point and Place’s Shopping Platform (mobile) or scroll over the icon (desktop) and boom! The AR experience is delivered!
In-store, Point and Place, delivered via a low-cost handheld tablet, allows shop assistants to show consumers the product, (not just the box) for an unforgettable AR experience. In fact, retailers have reported basket value can be increased by up to 50% due to the interaction and product education that the shop assistant can offer!

We’ve even added 'AR Wearables’ to the Point & Place AR platform: state-of-the-art facial tracking technology whereby shoppers try on headphones, sunglasses and other wearable products before they buy – incredible technology deployed for the very first time in mainstream retail. Seriously innovative; we’re making improvements to our technology all the time.

• More than 250 retailers in 40 countries use Point and Place; it’s a truly global product.
• The App is FREE for retailers; it’s the brands that provide the funding – this is completely unique.
• Everyone can experience the Point and Place App on their i-phones and tablets (6s, 6s plus, 7, 7 plus, SE, ipad Pro, ipad 8, 8plus, X). That’s an incredible 650 million people worldwide!
• The App is available in 15 languages; the AR model even highlights the dimensions and unique qualities of any product in any given country.
