In Canada, marijuana is becoming legal to consume recreationally on October 17, 2018. There are many companies out right now that will plan to sell to the public when this happens. Some provinces in Canada have already selected which licensed producers they will buy their weed from to sell to the public of that province, but, online orders will also be available to the Canadian public on October 17th as well; online orders from each marijuana producer will be freely sold throughout all of Canada (no provincial boundaries) so there will be many options for the user to buy weed from, with no restrictions. Each company will create their own website (if they don't already have their own) for the public to shop for weed online to ship to the customer's house. My app's purpose is to put all of these products that will be available to the general public in Canada in to one spot; users of my app will not have to go through multiple websites to shop for the products that they may want, instead everything (or almost everything) will be listed very organized in my app so that users can just refer to my app whenever they want to order weed online. My app will list all available products that will be sold online, and then when the user of the app decides on which product he/she wants to order, it will redirect the user to the grower's website that is shipping the product to place the order there; the user will be redirected as close to the shipping information/payment page as possible so that it will be more convenient to the customer without them having to take too many steps to place an order using my app. My app will list what the weed is called, the company that they are buying it from, the weed information, the weed bio that is on the company page, and the price (my app will have the ability to reorganize the products using the parameters: THC %, CBD %, and price from low to high or from high to low). The app will also have a rating system along with any additional comments that the user of the app may have of the product that is being ordered so that other users can read which product is right for them. So my app won't place the orders or fulfill the orders itself, instead it is a way to put all of the products in one spot so that users will have everything that they need to make a decision of what they want to purchase without going through multiple websites. Also, I would like to mention that as of entering this contest, the app isn't completed just yet and will be done closer to September-October.
