Transplant Hero

Transplant Hero is a beautifully created app that helps transplant patients take their medications regularly and on time.

After an organ transplant, patients need to take immunosuppressant drugs that help prevent their immune systems from attacking the new organ. Typically, the drugs must be taken for the patients’ lifetimes and this creates a serious challenge for patients as keeping the immune system from attacking a transplanted organ requires constant vigilance. Research shows that 15% of graft losses happen due to immunosuppression non-compliance. Our goal was to create an app that will not just notify patients when to take medications but will help to create the habit of taking their medications on time. We believe that, apart from notifying patients about medication times, this app should help them to enjoy a significantly improved quality of life after dealing with the effects of a previous long-term illness. That is why Transplant Hero is very easy and fun to use. The application automatically schedules medications entered by a patient while providing full control over the timing of the alarm. By taking medications regularly, a patient is rewarded with awards that engage him with a fun game and challenge him to earn cool rewards towards eventually becoming a Transplant Super Hero!
