Wheel Math+

Wheel Math+ Addition Fun app is a fun, unique, and big-picture approach to Addition and Subtraction that uses the magic patterns on a number wheel to help kids solve simple addition problems. In doing so, they learn all the pairs of numbers that add up that number. Kids have fun earning badges for finding all the numbers easily that add up to any number, or subtract from a number. The app is free, has no ads and collects no data.

HOW IT WORKS: Kids touch two numbers they want to add, and those two numbers show up on the side adding to a question mark. "ZERO IS THE HERO" If 0 is one of the numbers, the other number IS the answer. If not, touch the number one bigger than the larger number, and one less than the smaller number. Those two numbers will also show up as a parallel line adding to the same question mark because they will magically add to the same number.

EXAMPLE 1) Adding 4+5 are touched. The next two numbers closer to zero are 3+6, then do it again for 2+7, and 1+8, and finally 0+9. ZERO is the hero, so all the pairs add up to 9.
The important pairs (that add up to 10) are easy, right across from each other. And the numbers that add up to 5 are all up and down.

EXAMPLE 2) Adding 6+5 are touched. The next two numbers closer to zero are 7+4, then do it again for 8+3, and 9+2, and finally 10+1. ZERO is the hero, and in this case can also be 10. 10+1 is obviously 11, so all the pairs add up to 11.

EXAMPLE 3) Adding 8+7 are touched. The next two numbers closer to zero are 9+6, then finally 10+5. ZERO is the hero, and again can also be 10. 10+5 is obviously 15, so all the pairs add up to 15.

COOL PATTERNS:
1) All lines of numbers adding to any number are like railroad tracks (parallel).
2) The important pairs that add up to 10 are easy, right across from each other (horizontal, 9+1) . And the numbers that add up to 5 are all up and down (Vertical, example 4+1).
Pairs that add up to 15 are also up and down, because the number wheel only pays attention to the Ones digits of the answer, example 9+6=15, and it is obvious whether a number is adding to 5 or 15.
3) Subtraction is easily learned by reversing the process by starting at any number + 0 (which can also be 10)
4) Kids can earn Badges with addition sets and subtraction sets.

BADGES: After a couple addition problems, the option appears for earning badges by finding all pairs of numbers that add to a number, or subtract from a number.
