Recently we had an opportunity to speak with Alexandre Saleh, the Project Manager at Primal Studios Ltd. about Jelly Jellies

Please share with us the backstory of what motivated you to create this app.

We believe in the positivity that games can bring into one's life. We see that games can play an important role in the psychological development of an individual and want to use this to spread positive morals and values.

We want to be a company that creates and launches a new franchise worthy game on an annual basis for the casual market and competitive gaming industry. We want to increase product awareness, which is one of the most important things, while targeting the above mentioned markets. This shouldn't only be a local awareness of the product, but rather global awareness.

To finalize, we believe that there are not enough companies challenging each other to come come with original ideas. They might have their own theme, but I rarely see companies making games that have a soul like ours. We want to inspire the current market to be more like us and focus more on creativity and originality than on the revenue they are chasing or trying to obtain by doing what is conform.

What features do you hope to roll out to your app in the future?

We will be adding localization for the game's text the coming 3 weeks for language support. The game will then be available in 10 different languages.

The update will also include a more optimized version of the game, which means that it takes up less storage, faster loading times, better all around compatibility with older devices or low-end devices.

We will also be adding content and another story which consists out of an extra 75 levels. These content update will be very common every 1-2 months, to keep our players entertained.

What has been the most rewarding aspect of the creation of this app?

Opening a channel to give positive morals and values to the general public i.e. keeping the ocean clean!

What is the coolest or most innovative feature of your app?

The cross-platform real-time multiplayer feature. You can battle your Facebook friends by inviting them or you can play ranked matches with strangers across the world. These matches are all skill based. So there is no pay to win system built in. This is what makes it competitive and also interesting to play. The win depends on the skill of the player to outwit every sticky situation.

What surprised you most in your journey to create this app?

It was/is way more work than we had initially anticipated. It taught me about perseverance and fighting for what you really believe in.

Which other mobile apps or technology have inspired you?

Game's within the same or a similar genre. These are Fishdom, Candy Crush, Fish Mania, Bejeweled, Homescapes, and Toy Blast.

Do you have any recommendations or advice for others wanting to create a mobile app?

Search for driven and passionate individuals to form a strong team. A strong team is important for motivation, and projects that take a long time to complete are often very draining when it comes to this. A good team spirit always helps with morale and this in turn can spark motivation.

Also, people that have passion for the project, are more likely to take action/initiative when it comes to discussing new beneficial attributes/actions to positively impact the project.

How did you decide which platforms to release your app on and do you plan on releasing your app to other platforms?

We want to achieve global awareness. The easiest way to achieve this is by releasing the game on as many platforms as we can. This is why we targeted Facebook browser, Facebook Gameroom, iOS devices, and Android devices.

How is your app different than the rest of the market? Which unique need does it fill?

There is no other Puzzle game which combines all the elements we do. Which are Real-time multiplayer, Single player levels and story, and a semi 3D environment where you can customize your own environment with decorations and take care and customize fish and jellyfish.
