Recently we had an opportunity to speak with Arno Pertl , the Founder & CEO at Musteus about Musteus

Please share with us the backstory of what motivated you to create this app.

One of the reasons to develop this app, is the information flood what we receive every day.

We receive a lot of information (posts, e-mails, SMS etc.) on which we aren't interested in, because we haven't the possibility to select what we want to receive from who we are connected.

Other problem is also, that other social medias, don't have a reach of 100% and so frequently we don't receive informations of profiles we are following, or we don't see all the received posts, because the algorithm always don't show us the lastest posts on the top of our newsfeed.

What features do you hope to roll out to your app in the future?

One of the most important feature for the future is the easier managing of the profiles (changing, updating, posting, followinging, sharing, switching etc.).

What has been the most rewarding aspect of the creation of this app?

To give to the user trought the push notifications the immediate information of the profiles they are following.

What is the coolest or most innovative feature of your app?

That the user can create in theirs profiles up to 12 categories (called TOPIC) and for every category as well up to 24 subcategories (called TERM). So the followers of the profile can decide, if they want to follow the whole profile or only parts (one or more Topics and/or Terms) of them.

So the information flood will go down and the attention to the received informations go up.

Do you have any recommendations or advice for others wanting to create a mobile app?

To have a plan of the functions you will include in the app and detect which operating systems (Android, iOS etc.) your user are using.

How did you decide which platforms to release your app on and do you plan on releasing your app to other platforms?

With Musteus every user can see how many followers has every Topic/Term in his profile. In our profile https://musteus.com/@Musteus we have created the terms "Android" and "iOS" and have seen, that both have almost the same follower. So we decided to develop the notification app for both systems. In the futurer we will redeveloping the apps and include more functions.

We will also consider to develope the apps for other systems if there are enought followers of the terms on our profile.

How is your app different than the rest of the market? Which unique need does it fill?

Musteus is different, because he don't use an algorithm for filtering the content of the profiles.

It's a "democratic" social media, where the follower can select what he will follow from the profiles, receiving than all the posts from what he is following (Musteus has a reach of 100%) and he will displayed the posts in his feed chronologically, to find informations easier.
