about Sandboxx
Do you plan on releasing your app to other platforms as well?
IOs, Android, Web
If you could describe your app in ONE word, what would it be and why?
"Community" - Sandboxx helps facilitate a sense of community amongst its users.
Were there any unexpected surprises post-release of your app?
We have seen encouraging growth in users from the older Vietnam generation of veterans.
What features do you hope to roll out to your app in the future?
There is a lot of potential within Sandboxx for multiple features that can help support our military and veteran communities. We are focused on building out our users base on what we have now, but have a number of interesting features in the pipeline.
What is the coolest or most innovative feature of your app?
Through the app's mailboxx feature, users have the ability to write a letter, upload an image, tap send, and have that digital correspondence converted into a physical piece of mail to be directly delivered to the intended recipient. The physical mail is delivered with a pre-stamped and addressed envelope so the recipient can send it directly back. This has become a user favorite within the app and something we are very proud of.
What is your favorite mobile app to date and which have inspired you?
Waze - Community based.
What was your main objective or motivation for creating your mobile app?
I remember lying in my barracks and thinking to myself “I wish there was a way for me to re-connect with all the people I have served with in the past." These men and women are truly like your brothers and sisters and I wanted to be able to re-connect, converse and reminisce with them. That's when I decided the military community needed an app like Sandboxx.
