Recently we had an opportunity to speak with Mani Subrahmanyam, the Founder & CEO at Consumer Retail Tech Solutions Corp about SyenApp
Please share with us the backstory of what motivated you to create this app.
It was started a year ago when a old friend texted me saying i never responded to his email. That's an email address with more than 11000 unread emails. And then i realized that there is so much digital clutter that keeps piling up. While all the marketers are desperate to reach consumers through emails, apps, social media, etc the consumers are only losing control and privacy on the kind of data exchange. We decided to build a new consumer controlled marketing platform for brand advertisers and marketers.
What features do you hope to roll out to your app in the future?
a rewards system and a payment gateway
What has been the most rewarding aspect of the creation of this app?
Nothing is more rewarding and encouraging than the user reviews and constant feedback from the real users. It proves there's a product market fit and there's a real need.
What is the coolest or most innovative feature of your app?
True Unsubscription and a virtual retail shopping mall that gives a unified shopping experience by receiving all emails, coupons, deals into one place. One tap easy click tiles can give you options to hide/unsubscribe brands, options to label each conversation, lets you share a deal with community.
What surprised you most in your journey to create this app?
The amount of time it took and the complexity we had to solve while the idea was evolving to a stage where it is now. It started as a simple app to store receipts and now it's a platform connecting brands and consumers that stores email, deals, coupons, receipts all together.
Which other mobile apps or technology have inspired you?
The problems with Gmail and Yahoomail and all other cashback coupon apps and brand retail shopping apps.
Do you have any recommendations or advice for others wanting to create a mobile app?
Choose the right tech stack, spend more time on choosing the right app name and descriptions based on ASO research.
How did you decide which platforms to release your app on and do you plan on releasing your app to other platforms?
Initially we thought of releasing only on Android as developing for iOS might take longer on the development effort. But using react native stack, we were able to launch in both the platforms and maintain a same code base for easy development and deployments.
How is your app different than the rest of the market? Which unique need does it fill?
What makes SyenApp different, is our intelligent platform directly connects retailers with consumers, while it also compiles all the conversations (promotions, coupons, deals, orders, receipts) for consumers into one place.
